Christina Anderson

Christina has been an advocate for the Performing Arts in Pueblo, Colorado for over 30 years. She started performing in Pueblo at a young age and has been a paid entertainer in Colorado since 1990. She co-founded the Pueblo Children’s Chorale in 1996 and has been the Executive Director for the past 28 years. She created Upon A Star Singing Telegrams & Entertainers in 2010 and continues to entertain many each year. Her Entrepreneur endeavors continued in 2022 when she started Upon A Star Travel Agency as a Disney Travel Agent.

Being involved in pageantry either as a judge, emcee or contestant for the past 30 years has been a highlight in her life. She has held several titles: 2014 “Supreme Queen” with the Bright Future’s Pageant; 2015 Ms. Colorado; 2018 Ultimate Grand Supreme Miss Elite Colorado and “Queen of Queens” 2019 with the Little Miss Colorado Pageant. She recently held the title of Ms. Elite National USA 2020 with the Little Miss National USA Pageant and was crowned “Lifetime Queen” in 2023. She has been honored to receive the “Best of Pueblo” – GOLD winner “Best Performer” 2014-2018 and nominated for the 2017 YWCA Tribute to Women for Community Service. Christina was recognized as an “Outstanding Woman of 2019” from the Pueblo City/County Library District. In 2021, she was honored to be recognized as an “Influential Woman” Guest Speaker on the National Podcast hosted by Jenny Smith. Also, in September 2021, she added “Model” to her resume when she modeled in New York Fashion Week 2021. She also was a Designer Assistant to Nataljia Liberacki and prepared the Models for her Collection.

She taught music at two Christian Schools for five years (1997-2002) and volunteers as judge for DECA, FBLA, pageants, talent competitions and also volunteers with Junior Achievement. She has dedicated countless hours to her Volunteer endeavors over the past 30 years of service to her Community.

She has been married to her wonderful husband Mark since January 1991 and they have one son, Dane, and Daughter “In Love”, Larissa. Travel has always been a big part of her life and Disney is her Specialty. You might find her occasionally auditioning for Disney because her dream is to sing for “Voices of Liberty” at Epcot.

Kirsten Kleven

Kirsten Kleven, a native of Minnesota, has called Pueblo home for the past 23 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Mass Communications from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from CSU-Pueblo. She has a long history with piano performing. Growing up in Minnesota, she maintained a busy schedule working as an organist for a church and accompanying several organizations in the community, including travelling the 5-state area with a vocal quartet. After moving to Colorado, she continued accompanying for several groups including the Sunrise UMC in Pueblo West, First UMC in Canon City, the Bella Voce Children’s Choir, and as keyboardist for Pueblo’s Steel City Theater productions of The Wedding Singer and Nunsense. She has also taught piano lessons at the Sangre de Cristo Art Center and is a former teacher at the McClelland School.

Kirsten currently maintains a busy accompanying schedule including playing for the South High School Choirs, Christ the King Catholic church, the Pueblo Children’s Chorale and as a staff accompanist at CSU-Pueblo. Kirsten also teaches piano lessons and operates the Sounds Good! Studio.

When not busy, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters and two dogs.

Zachary Friberg

Now in his 13th season with the Pueblo Children's Chorale, Zachary is a "Summa Cum Laude" graduate from CSU-Pueblo, where he had the privilege of studying under Barbara Beck while earning his BA in Music Performance (Vocal emphasis).

Zachary participated in the Pueblo District 60 / Pueblo Parks & Rec.
Summer Musical program throughout high school and college, and has played

several leading roles in shows such as Disney's "Beauty & the Beast", "The Music Man", and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".

The former Director of Learning at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center and Buell Children’s Museum, Zachary continues to be involved in the Performing Arts in and around Pueblo, but his growing family has become his primary focus these days.
